X'mas and New Year Celebration of MMA

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
Thanks for the enthusiasm and support you all evinced for the Onam celebration we had at St. Thomas Moore Church Parish Hall. We hope you all had a lovely and enjoyable time having shared small chats and love with our fellow-beings. This spirit and solidarity has played an active part in making our Association’s functioning a grand success. Though the Onam Celebration went on with much ardour and fervour it is sad to note that our children did not get much opportunity to exhibit their talents in cultural programmes. It is worthwhile to remember that we all have a collective responsibility in fostering the talents and making them ideal citizens upholding our values and tradition wherever they are in the world.

The committee has decided to celebrate the New Year on Sunday, 28th December 08 at St. Barnabas church Parish hall between 4.30 pm and 10.30 pm. All children and adults wishing to carry out any cultural programmes are encouraged to register their names with the Secretary. It has also been decided to carry out a Carroll singing in each house as a mark of hailing the Christmas. The rehearsals for Carroll singing would take place sooner. Please contact the secretary if you have any queries in relation to it.

The Carroll Singing would take place as detailed below;
12/12/08(Friday)------ Stockton, Thornaby, Middlesbrough Town
13/12/08(Saturday)--  Grove hill, Longlands
19/12/08(Friday)------ Beechwood, Easter side
20/12/08(Saturday)--- Reserved day.
If by any reason (bad weather etc.) we are not in a position to reach any household at scheduled time as stated above we would try to do the Carroll Singing on the reserved day.

There will be an exclusive and splendid Christmas Dinner on the day with buffet style serving for all for which each members of association, family is encouraged to contribute twenty pounds  only (£20/-). The family wishing to bring any guests for the day would also need to contribute ten pounds (£10) for each guest. Please let the secretary know in advance if you bring any guest with you for the day.

We encourage all of you to participate in the event and contribute your best to make the New Year celebrations a great success and cordially welcome each of your family members for the grand event.
Look forward to your continued support and encouragement
