The Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge was built in 1911 and it is the furthest downstream bridge across the River Tees. It connects Middlesbrough on the south bank to Port Clarence on the north bank. It is a transporter bridge, carrying a travelling 'car' or 'gondola' suspended from the bridge, across the river in 90 seconds. The car can carry 200 people, 9 cars or 6 cars and one minibus.
Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge at 850 feet (260 metres) long and 225 feet (69 metres) high at the tallest point, is the largest working bridge of its kind in the world. The distance between the two towers is 580 feet (177 metres).Tees Newport Bridge still serves as a road bridge, carrying considerable traffic as a section of the A1032
Tees Newport Bridge spans the River Tees a short distance upriver from Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge, linking Middlesbrough with the borough of Stockton-on-Tees
With the planned construction of the Tees Barrage, the decision was taken to seal the lifting span. The bridge was ceremoniously raised and lowered for the last time in an informal ceremony on the 18th November 1990. The span was subsequently bolted down.

Roseberry Topping has a distinctive half-cone shape with a jagged cliff, which has led to many comparisons with the much higher Matterhorn in Switzerland.
At 1049 ft (320 m), It is formed from sandstone laid down in the Middle and Lower Jurassic periods, between 208 and 165 million years ago, which constitutes the youngest sandstone to be found in any of the National Parks in England and Wales. Its distinctive conical shape is the result of the hill's hard sandstone cap protecting the underlying shales and clays from erosion by the effects of ice, wind and rain.
Roseberry Topping is now managed by the National Trust and is open to the public.

There has been a working farm here since the 17th century. It is now a unique and extremely popular attraction for families and school groups. The farm has many rare breeds of cattle, pigs, and sheep along with the usual farm animals including rabbits, goats, ponies, donkeys, poultry and waterfowl. There are also exhibitions of the Cleveland dialect and calendar, plus the farming history of the area, vintage farm machinery and crafts, not forgetting the play and picnic areas, and farmhouse tea rooms for refreshments.
The farm's visitor centre tells the story of the farm from the 17th century to the present day. The farm also has a 19th century veterinary surgery, which gives the visitor an opportunity to see some of the medicines and equipment used in the 1890s. The Agricultural Museum has a Victorian kitchen, a corn doll display and working beehive.
